Digital Front Desk

Delete your account

Last updated: 2026-10-14 · Version 0.1

How to delete your Digital Front Desk login, or close your organisation's whole account, and what happens to the information in it. This applies to the website and to the Digital Front Desk mobile apps, which open the same account.

Delete your own login

  1. Sign in at digitalfrontdesk.ca or in the app.
  2. Open Settings, then the People tab.
  3. Choose Your login and account: delete your login or close the business.
  4. Choose Delete my login and confirm it with your password (or, if you sign in with Google, by confirming with Google or with a link we email you), and your two-step code if you use one.

Your login is deleted straight away. Deleted with it: your own chats with the assistant, your reminders and the files that were yours. Kept by your organisation: the work you did for it — quotes, contacts, notes and the record of who visited — because those belong to the organisation, not to your login.

The person who created the account, and the last person who can sign in to it, cannot delete their own login this way, because that would leave an account nobody can open. They close the account instead, below.

Close your organisation's whole account

  1. Sign in as the person who created the account (or, if none was recorded, the last person who can sign in to it).
  2. Open Settings → People → Your login and account.
  3. Choose Close my business and confirm it the same way.

Nothing is deleted for 14 days, so a mistake can be cancelled from the same page with Cancel the closure. After that our team completes the closure and deletes the account's data, keeping only records the law requires us to keep, such as billing records. Copies in our encrypted backups are overwritten after a further period; we do not restore backups to bring deleted information back.

If you cannot sign in

Email info@digitalfrontdesk.ca from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your login or close the account. We will confirm it is you before we delete anything.

If an organisation holds information about you

If you visited, called or filled in a form for a clinic or business that uses Digital Front Desk, that information is theirs to manage. Ask them first; if you cannot reach them, email us and we will pass your request on.
